After ‘Cold Lake’ many fans were left confused, some felt betrayed. It
seemed there were now two Frosts, the one who gave us ’Morbid Tales’
and wore corpse paint and then the one with eyeliner, big hair and L.A.
Guns t shirts. Needless to say CF’s fan base had been divided, or maybe
just cut off.. ’Vanity Nemesis’ seemed to be an attempt to try to bring
the band back from the distant areas the previous album would have them
go. Did it work? Did ‘Cold Lake’ damage them that badly? These are
questions and debates that will forever quandary the metal world.
